Labor Day was really, really cloudly and gloomy this year. It rained on and off a couple of times today, and now it's chilly and breezy outside. At least I got to sleep in, and I had no pressing homework. Just latin. XD

I basically spent the entire day working on my Tokyo Mew Mew fanfiction. I finally got chapter one up and running, and I'm really satisfied with the final turn-out. I ended up using a lot of ideas from the beginning to The Cat Returns  - Haru and Ichigo could be sisters, I kid you not. :)
I've already gotten two reviews from people I don't even know (!!) and they also favorited my story for updates (!!!!) Hee hee. ^_^

I went to Borders a couple days back and bought a new book - The Hearts of Horses by Molly Gloss. It looks very, very good, and I've been wanting it ever since I saw it on the 'New Releases' shelf at Borders. And since I'm a Border Rewards member, I got a loverly 40% off coupon and only had to pay something over $8.00 for a $13.50 book. Yay!
I also went ahead and preordered Shugo Chara volume 7. I wanted to pre-order the next Lucky Star, but because the book had not hit that specific retailer and/or wasn't even in print, I would have had to pay extra for it. Which is completely odd and weird, but I wasn't about to pay my only $10.00 on that and lose my other good book. So I will wait on that.

Yesterday at horseback riding, one of the ponies was behaving horribly, and he actually kicked a girl in the ankle. She got her little pony too close to Denver, who absolutely HATES other horses aside from those in his 'herd', but she actually took the blow of the kick directly. She cried, but no serious injuries I think.

Denver is a bit of a snot though. He's the lowest member in his herd's hierarchy, so he gets picked on and subsequently lashes out at other horses for that. It's not his fault entirely, but then again, he shouldn't kick. :|

I really need a nice Kisshu/Ichigo icon. Think I'll just draw one.

Top 8 Reasons Why I'm Excited for the Fall:

1) The wonderful feeling you get when the season changes. I just love fall. I love it. I love the smell of the air, the crisp leaves under your feet, the colors of those left on the trees...it fills me up with energy and I can't control it and I just happy-shift all over the place. Seriously, I've had some of my best shifts in the fall - the best by far occuring when I was running cross country and I started shifting because I was running in the woods. :)

2) Marching band! I actually love football now because of it. Hell, I never know what's going on, but it's enjoyable because I get to play tuba at half-time, and now the band has after-game parties at my friend Tom's house. Last night was our first game (we won 45-20!), and we all headed over to his house to play a mad round of DDR and to eat hot dogs. X3

3) The clothes. I love being able to wear t-shirts with sweaters and jeans and sneakers. It's not so hot that you're burning up, but it's not so cold that you're freezing. It's the perfect combo of warm-cool.

4) All the new TV shows! I'm especially looking forward to Flash Forward, Modern Families, and this new doctor show on NBC. I'm also excited for the final season of LOST, and the next chapters in HOUSE, Heroes, and Ugly Betty. Hopefully Daniel hooks up with Mark finally. XD

I KID I KID.

5) Food tastes much better in fall, for some reason. <3

6) Books! I don't know why, but I read so many more books in the fall than any other time of year. I'm looking forward for the next Shugo Chara!  and Lucky Star! volumes. I also might start buying Fruits Basket, since it's over and all the volumes are out. *proceeds to shovel money outside her window*

I'm also exposing myself to this vampire series called House of Night. It's slowly becoming the new Twilight with kids at my school. Even my classmate Jeremy is reading it. XD I actually don't mind it - the style of writing kind of irritates me, as do some of the characters and certain aspects of the plot, but hell, it beats Sir Sparkle Pants and his cronies of marble stone men who apparently can still inseminate despite the lack of blood flow and the fact that they're undead. ((That was a reference to Breaking Dawn.))
It actually makes several references to Cherokee legends and such, and the main character actually makes me smile sometimes, so that's a plus.

7) I also draw and write more. I feel really, really inspired to work on my fanfiction, which has been stewing quietly in my brain and has now finally started simmering and hissing and screaming "EAT-ER, WRITE ME!!!"

8) ...I might have found someone who I actually think might be interested in me, and me in him. ////


I've been overloading my systems on Lucky Star!. I freaking adore Konata, and her cousins. Kagami is another favorite simply because she puts up with Konata's otaku-ness on a daily basis. XDD

Why do you dislike #11 so much? →
Well, I don't dislike it, persay. It was just never a favorite. I came into the series a Ikuto/Amu fan, and that's how I'll leave it. :)
To be honest, I never liked the idea of them hooking up together. In the context of the series, I thought it was cute at first how Amu liked Tadase, but as time went on I gradually found that I preferred their friendship together over the possibility of a romantic relationship. I think, for those characters, romance wouldn't be the best course; they've benefitted from each other's friendship in ways no one could have guessed - Tadase is now a stronger, kinder person, and Amu has more courage to chase after her dreams. That's made them both happy, and now they have each other to lean on in the future.
Besides which, Tadase has basically told Amu to follow her heart, even if he's not the one it leads to. And Amu might as well be in love with Ikuto already, so there.

What would be your ideal scenario for couple #3? →
The series just started, so I want to see what actually happens. Fujimurasaki already kissed Sakura and confessed to her, so now I want to see how her feelings develop for him in the contest of the story.

How long have you been following couple #6? → *SPOILERS*
Right about vol. 8 of TGA. I loved the high school chapter involving the parents! I think it's adorable how much Haine and Takanari resemble Maika and Kazuhito when they were young. ♥
I think what drew me to the couple was how much Kazuhito loves Maika, to the point where he literally stole her from Itsuki. (Kisshu should take lessons from him. X3) I was shocked and kind of sad for Maika, since she still loved Itsuki, but she gradually came to love Kazuhito as they married and raised a family. It was a love that grew, and I was happy that both of them found happiness.
Now that I think about it, their scenario is basically what I *wish* happened between Kisshu and Ichigo. XDD

What's the story with #8? What made you stop liking them/caring? →
I still think they're cute. It's just it's become blatantly obvious that Tamaki and Haruhi are going to end up together, so why bother? Tama/Haru is just as cute anyways.

#2 - mostly because it's one I've followed for a longer time, and one that's more developed. The characters have also had lots of development between each other, and have had so many awesome moments, both romantic, dramatic, humorous and otherwise.
Ch.43 was omfg the best thing EVER.

What interests you about #14? →
I think Kairi is pretty darn bold confessing to Amu like that. XD
I also think they work well as a team, and I admire how much Kairi wants to change and become a man in Amu's eyes.

Why did you stop liking #7? →
THE FUCKING FANDOM KILLED IT.
And I really, really loved Mai after she basically verbally bitch-slapped Azula for Zuko's sake. That takes guts, for serious.

Did your waning interest in #9 kill your interest in the show? →
Not really. It was never a ship I liked to begin with. And there's too much else to love about it besides the romance.

"Love You To Death" by Camelot. I read this fantastic fanfiction that subsequently inspired a beautiful AMV, and that's where I heard the song. ///

If you could have any of these two pairings double-date, who would it be?
Ikuto/Amu and Ranka/Alto. It'd be funny to see how the two men, both voiced by the same seiyu, would interact. Also, Ikuto could play violin and Ranka could sing. It'd be bitching. XD

I actually think they're really cute together. Mori looks out for Haruhi, and Haruhi admires his loyalty and devotion. Plus, it was so cute when Mori gave Haruhi his strawberries when the Hosts were eating cake at her house. omfg I melted into a puddle of goo when I saw that. XD

Also, I have gotten into Lucky Star. It's a fandom I fall in and out of randomly, because the story is very random and has no specific plot, point, or reason. But DAMNIT Konata is basically me in anime form - she plays MMORPGs, reads manga and watches anime, and often makes obscure anime and game references. X3

Think I prefer the manga better because, in the anime, the line between the various stories is blurred. Plus the music in the anime (save for the opening) can grate on the ear at times.
